The kurukshetra of Daily Life.-2

The kurukshetra of Daily Life-2
Bhagvat Gita is the actual talk between the confused Arjuna and his Charioteer Lord Krishna in the battle field. The Pandavas were leading a huge army in a righteous cause against their own cousins, the Kauravas, also with a huge army. Arjuna was the biggest hero and he gazed from his chariot at the two armies, he suddenly lost his will to fight. He was afraid. Afraid not only of losing his own life, but also for the lives of his “fathers, grandfathers, teachers, uncles, brothers, sons, grandsons, fathers-in-law, and friends.” Because  this was a war within a family. He had loved ones in both armies. Arjuna dropped his bow and arrows and collapsed on the floor of his chariot, sobbing.

Arjuna’s heroism will not consist only of strength but, more importantly, of an inner struggle with himself. Arjuna, turns out, is meant to be a part of my mind and your mind and everybody’s mind. The real enemy of Arjuna was his mind rather than the soldiers on the other side. We are faced with the same situation. Our own mind is the greatest enemy, which is constantly tricking us into thinking that life is all about material enjoyment and sense gratification. Every day we are faced with decisions, which will affect our future.

Arjuna’s struggle is our daily struggle over the base, the serene over the angry, the courageous over the fearful. We all have Kurukshetras within us. Life is full of calamities and anxiety. Ignorance, materialism, lust, greed, and violence, represents the soldiers on the opposing side in our war. Thus everyday is a battle with ignorance, materialism, lust, greed, and angerThe Kauravas, the evil cousins, are the negative states of mind – anger, hatred, greed, vanity, envy, arrogance, fear and so forth.Krukshetra is the battlefield of our own minds, every day.. If we can win the daily battles for some time then we have entered into spiritual life and the war over ignorance.

The battle of Mahabharata is raging within us! Our ignorance (avidyaa) is King Dhritarashtra! The individual soul is Arjuna! The In-Dweller dwelling in our heart is Lord Krishna, the charioteer! The body is our chariot! The senses (indriyaas) are the horses. Our ego, pride, greed, hypocrisy, lust, jealousy, likes & dislikes, etc. are our dire enemies!

In order for us to win our war, we need the same knowledge that Arjuna was given by Lord Krishna. Krishna teaches us how to make our minds calm so that we can go on with life whenever it seems to overwhelm us. By understanding the Bhagavad-Gita, the decisions we make in everyday life will alter our lives for the better and the result will be peace and happiness even in this life

The kurukshetra of Daily Life... 1

The kurukshetra of Daily Life.,

Recently In my day to day life, I get depressed while doing my work. Laziness has crept the intensity in my work has dropped; I have lost sense of my priorities. Mind is that makes the personality of a person. My state is similar to that of Arjuna just before the start of the Mahabharata war. To control my mind & emotions I try to read the Bhagavad Gita .but I don’t understand it and what I do understand, I forget as soon as I close the book.”Again & again reading I may not understand or remember everything, but when I read it, I feel I have been changed, inside and out. These posts will be nothing more than my personal notes on my reading of the Bhagavad Gita. In fact, I just want to instruct myself and make it as Personal notes. I just expressed it in my view.

In your normal life, just introspect & check the state of your mind. Normally whether it remains calm or it remains agitated & disturbed. It is generally said that we see this world through our mind, if our mind is peaceful; we see this world in a Good way & enjoys the beauties of nature & love being born to enjoy this life. But if our mind remains in a disturbed, agitated state of mind, we may miss the simple beauty of a flower in our nearby place also. We shall never enjoy our life if our mind remains in a disturbed state of mind.

The main reason why our mind remains disturbed is that we are not satisfied with our present state. If you have something, you are not happy with it. If you have your family, sons, daughters etc. then you may not have harmonious relations with them. If you have a particular amount of money with you, it seems less to you & you want more of it. Same is that, you have Greed for other things & don’t know how to enjoy the one’s you are already having.

Thus everyday is a battle with ignorance, materialism, lust, greed, and anger. If we can win the daily battles for some time then we have entered into spiritual life and the war over ignorance, materialism, lust, greed, and anger has been won. And at the end of this life we will enter into the kingdom of God with eternal spiritual life.

In order for us to win our war, we need the same knowledge that Arjuna was given by Lord Krishna. The Bhagavad-Gita.

Lotus

Lotus

The morning calm lake that
Brimming with hues of all shades
Reflects the golden glory of the sun
Swaying to the refreshing breeze,
And it’s pure fragrance perfumes the wind
Majestically beautiful in!

The lotus rooted deep in mud
Its jade green leaves spread out over the pond,
Stretches toward sky to stand Tall and pure
Now it raises from the murky water.
Multi-petaled open steadily
Its petals are covered with dew,
Natural, White, Pure
A flower forever with charms to hold
Lustrous, Cool and Majestic!

Navratri Night

Navratri nights –
dancing with the tune;
Music charms
Flames of 'holy lamp'
Steady In and Out
Rhythm of melody;
Pounding through my heart
Heart flutters – rapid
Ushers the angst out of mind
Enlivens the soul
I try vainly
to catch divine notes...

What I Have Learned...

What I Have Learned...

In silence I lost in thoughts and analyzed …When I look back and started thinking what I learned in past what life teaches me…What I have learned by surrounding people… Experience teaches me the solid lessons.
I have learned. Love yourself first.....Learn to say no...
I have learned TO BE INDEPENDENT IN LIFE....
I have learned Behave, think & see in straight. But do never expect it back..
I have learned People will call you only when they need you, not otherwise…
I have learned Never let anyone put me down.and Never let anyone talk me into doing anything that makes me feel bad or I am uncomfortable with.
I have learned People with have different mindset ,different desires and with different intentions
I have learned Do give value to the relations. Make relations unconditionally and do never expect anything in return...
I have learned Mistakes do happen in our life, accept & take it positively... You won't achieve anything without any lose.
I have learned Never be over sincere, you might get disappointed as you not receive the same…
I have learned you can't change others, but you can change yourself
I have learned Give space, be less possessive, and be careful while talking.... This is what I learned from observing other people :)
I have learned always keep discovering new things....to avoid unnecessary thoughts.
I have learned listen to everybody but do what your heart says. Follow your own heart not others!!
I have learned never runs after that thing which can be never achieved.
I have learned Beware of weird people in your life… They can go to any extent to make your life miserable... so be careful of such freaks!!
I have learned Love is an intense feeling of caring for another person. It can take many different forms (romantic, friendly, familial) but it is always about caring.......
I have learned everyone loves their space as much, as you does. The more space u gives. The more love u get. .I had learn t it the hard way...
I have learned How much u try u cannot achieve things if its not there for you. If god has planned anything for u it will come to u.
I have learned. Keep your emotions away from you, and don’t trust anyone so easily.
I have learned Be a bit stupid among a group and then show off your intelligence at the right time only.
I have learned If someone comes into your life and becomes a part of you,but for some reason they couldn't stay, don't cry too much... just be glad that your paths crossed and somehow they made you happy even for a while…
I have learned is that you cannot make someone love you.
I have learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.
I have learned -that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.
I have learned -that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.
I have learned - that there are people who love you dearly, but just don't know how to show it.
I have learned -that your family won't always be there for you. It may seem funny, but people you aren't related to can take care of you and love you and teach you to trust people again.
I have learned - that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.
I have learned that I should look at the three other fingers pointing back at me before being so hasty to point one finger at another.
I have learned - That no matter how much I care. Some people just don't care back.
I've learned that every day, you should reach out and touch someone. People love that human touch - holding hands, a warm hug, or just a friendly pat on the back.
I have learned A lot of things...each day come with a new experience. Test it...you may be hurt but your wisdom will enrich...
I have learned What God chooses for us is always better than what we choose for ourselves.I have learned There are some GOOD people left in this BIG-BAD World...
I have learned Past is an experience and present is an experiment. Experience can make a person worth to experiment in life to mould a better future.
I have learned Never let anyone put me down.and Never let anyone talk me into doing anything that makes me feel bad or I am uncomfortable with.
I have learned expect too much not and interfere too much not; maintain some distance beyond the limits
On a positive note, I've learned that no matter what happens or how bad it seems  TODAY, life goes on, and it will be better TOMORROW.
I have learned Still have to learn what goes around comes around....the difference between being good and looking good.. I've learned that I still have a lot to learn...

A Chirp For The Sparrow !

Me and My Sparrows:

We had an apartment surrounded by splendor of greenery and serenity away from the noise and pollution of the city, the home makes a favorite stay for a person like me who respect nature and knows to appreciate its beauty. A Rising Sun, Full Moon, Galaxy of Stars, a group of Parrots flying, Colorful Kites Everything nature has for display. I still am blessed to be closer to nature.

During the early mornings the air is also filled with the 'kooooh' of the koel...chirps of sparrow, pigeons playing in my balcony early morning….a rare sight for me. Looking up at the sky, watching the birds fly about, The beauty of their forms, the immaculate color of their feathers, the buoyancy of their flight and the sweetness of their song their happy-go-lucky attitude kind of flights, their joy of freedom as they move in a heavenly manner from the earth to the sky, is so fascinating that many spend hours doing just are all a treat and I find inspiring and exhilarating. Taking a moment to watch their antics or admire their beauty; it’s fun!
From my childhood, Listening to chirping of a bird is the loveliest way to wake up, to start a day. Personally, i really love listening to the chirping of birds, a music which goes right into my heart. I have always loved birds especially little Sparrows. I love the way they hop around on their delicate feet, not even walking but jumping from spot to spot. . Every morning, I have started to keep food for the birds in my balcony. A wonderful variety of birds come to eat. Although, it’s mostly sparrows, mynah, pigeons and crows..;

One sparrow showed its head near window; they chirp out on the way "I've found food" call, the, a group of sparrows. Immediately other sparrows appeared too in the house balcony making strong sound of twitter it was twittering music to my ears! exactly seven of them would venture out on balcony every day, There were always, chirping and flitting around .Their songs are not particularly melodious. Sometimes it does sound like there is a sudden broken ending to their songs. They eat whatever is on offer, especially raw rice; with a great many chrips repeated in equal time and space over and again and show their displeasure if the food isn’t up to their expectation,. Over time, they have shed their fear. They keep on eating even as we watch them through the window I would get all excited.

I did not want to miss feeding them. Running out to the balcony in the morning to see the sparrows alighting the balcony steps has been the inspiration for much of my work since. Just for a few grains and some twigs for their little nests they give us the joy of life. I have spent many lazy afternoons reading, and watching sparrows hop around right inside our house and in the balcony.if you open the window to get in some fresh air and then you hear the chirping of little birds. How melodious it is to hear! All the frustration and exhaustion of a busy day just gets wiped out. These sparrows are my best companion.

Nowadays in cities The Chrip is almost gone!
The common house sparrows are nature's bio-indicators and enjoy a historical relationship with humans as food was always available. Sadly, humans and their lifestyle changed. Unfortunately, the house sparrow is now a disappearing species their numbers are also declining across their natural range.   The reasons? Many reasons have been attributed to the decline of sparrows - like increasing use of pesticides, lack of insect food, lack of nesting places As fields, bushes, tree clusters, marshes and the water bodies disappear, they Gardens vanished, along with it, disappeared worms .and insects that were part of the birds diet, especially the chicks diet. Pruned trees and exotic gardens are avoided by birds. The recent threat to the birds comes in the form of electro-magnetic waves. The Emissions sent out from mobile towers. These affect insects and the hatching of bird's eggs.

It is a bird that evokes fond memories and has thus found mention in folklore and songs from time to time. We can learn so many thing from this little sparrows, their cooperation, their love and their freedom and enthusiastic nature ;satisfied and happy with handful of grains and few twigs for the nest. and their  ability to take to the sky, their happy-go-lucky attitude kind of flights, their joy of freedom. Whether we human being live like them? What are we doing instead? We are wiping out the very providers of this unconditional joy. We will try to learn directly from Nature .We Love the little Sparrows and  Promote greenery to provide food and shelter to the small birds.

Rainy Day Some Thoughts!

The charming weather, the chilling atmosphere, and the lurking rain! From my window I watch the rain as it washes clean the air gentle tinkling silver drops are falling everywhere.I Love to sit on the window slab and watch the sound of the rain falling on the leaves an roof; and the bunch of flowers are soaked with water, Rain from the sky falls on my window,on the ground....  up my nose; Rain frizzing up my hair, Rain all around. ; I love the feeling Drops of rains falling all over me I feel nature, the beautiful smell of earth! Rain …it has its own beauty!

When it is about to rain, I undergo a strange kind of happiness, I start thinking about the days, While going to school I enjoy drizzle feel in my face is a pleasant experience. The sky was filled with moderately black clouds. Suddenly, it started to drizzle. Soon, it turned into a heavy downpour. I was thrilled, to stepped out to the house.. The cool raindrops caressed my face. The tree branches swayed, the leaves dancing to the tune of the falling rain. Clouds were busy moving and some of them deposited themselves at the horizon. The sun hid behind the clouds feeling happy for an unexpected holiday the clouds brought along.

The melody of the rain, mixed with the noises of the surroundings, infused a new vigor in me. I looked at the moving clouds. ,. While moving, the clouds drew some figures on the white canvas of the sky. I still tried to put the artistic scene and my racing thoughts into words.(When the sky and the clouds are fighting the cloud is shedding tears that is rain). Then The mist that leads you to a walk in the clouds and a beckoning green that comforts in its lushness and purity. The colors of mud and sun-showers and trees that grow in the rain have become part of my mind.

The sounds of rain always chase me smiling. I love the sound of rain. It's the most beautiful natural sound. It catches breath. It’s so calming ;I can sit and listen for hours. And the smell - it's something surreal. It's hard to explain, but there's something special in it. While most people find rainy days gloomy, I just love the monsoon rains! And again I became a child! It brings me all types of emotions which I feel it's difficult to explain...each raindrop remember me of such wonderful memories...new emotions… Rain is something to be happy or depressed, but FEEL life. The rain -Its amazing! I love the rain!
